9:00 am—1:00 pm
Tanguy Homesteads Community Center
(Twin Pine Way, Glen Mills, PA)
A Drop-off event for children of
Concord QM families.
(Register fill out form below)
The Program will provide a guided outdoor exploration of the Tanguy natural areas and includes times for walking, asking questions, and reflections, and making new discoveries and connections with nature.
Michelle Lozowski will be our teacher/guide. She is an experienced Forest School teacher and founded the West Chester Friends School Forest School Fridays Program.
“ The point of the Forest School is to connect children to nature. So much learning and time at home is now spent with technology. Being out in nature gives them the opportunity to watch something other than a screen. Noticing nature brings them to ask questions about what they are seeing.”
You can read more about her work and the Forest Schools program in a recent article for the CQM Newsletter. Click Here
This is a program for Children and Youth grades K-6 and will be supported by staff from PYM Youth Programs and CQM. Indoor time will include journal writing, drawing, sharing experiences, and a nature craft activity and/or games. Snacks, water, and a Pizza Lunch will be provided. Please dress in layers as we will be outside for a good part of the morning.
This form, along with directions to the community center will be sent to all registrants.
