Bayard Rustin - Growing Spiritually by Taking Risks
We will explore the intersection of risk and spiritual development by examining the life of Bayard Rustin and the actions he took to promote his vision of racial justice and equality in a very difficult time. We will use this as a jumping off point for small group discussions on our own risk taking as it relates to our spiritual growth. When is risk “rightly-ordered? When is it possible for us to discern the risks we are called to act upon? How do we help others to discern when a risk is worth taking? Please join us for a provocative activity that will challenge and enlighten.

Children & Youth Program
Concord and Western Quarters will participate in a special Youth Event. A Ropes Course & Orienteering Session will be held from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm at Westtown School. The event is open to children in 3rd grade and older. In the morning, everyone will do the ropes course that will be age appropriate. In the afternoon, older youth will be orienteering while younger children go on a scavenger hunt. A snack and lunch will be provided. The cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. For more information and to register, visit http://concordquarter.org/youthropescourse/. The registration deadline is April 6.
Note: For children under the 3rd grade level, a children’s program will be provided by the Meeting. Childcare will also be available from 8:30 AM.
