Birmingham Monthly Meeting presents a program like no other in the history of the Quarter. The youth of the Meeting will perform a short radio play called “Something Odd About the Dyers”. The play is based on a science fiction short story written by Mel Stephen Sharpe that was published in the Friends Journal, November 2021. The story is about a Quaker family that finds a pod from another world that has landed in a forest near the family’s farm. The family must decide how to react to the pod and the creature that it contains. Please join us for this thought provoking adaptation of Sharpe’s story with time for lively discussion following.
